“Come feel the difference!”
Victory Baptist strives to be a very warm and loving body of believers whose goal is to worship and serve God through Jesus Christ.
On July 5, 2005 God gave a vision to Pastor Steven D. Swords of the need for a church in the community of Guntersville, Alabama.
In obedience to that vision, Pastor Steven made the decision to purchase the facility at 1644 O’Brig Avenue. For two months, much leg and knee work was done to begin the services there to honor our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Our first service was held on September 11, 2005 with 172 in attendance. Victory Baptist Church was officially organized April 2, 2006 with 66 charter members. Since that date, the Lord has blessed our church with over 280 members and still growing.
We would like to thank our mother church, Warrenton Baptist Church for all their love and support in the Lord’s work here at Victory Baptist Church.
What is our purpose as a church?
Victory Baptist strives to be a very warm and loving body of believers whose goal is to worship and serve God through Jesus Christ.
Our vision is to celebrate life in Jesus Christ through worship, praise, and fellowship and to equip the saints so that in His name we offer the assurance of salvation to our community, our nation, and our world.
Our mission is to be a church where everyone feels welcome.
