We’re looking forward to a GREAT day of worship on Sunday.

This week’s adult Sunday School lesson is entitled: “Unstoppable Courage,” based on Scripture Passages from Acts Chapter 4.  Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m.

Our Worship service begins at 10:30 a.m. with a great time of Praise and Worship through music.  Pastor Steven Swords will be preaching a sermon entitled: “Christ Became.”

Please keep in prayer all those on our Prayer List, in addition to our church family and friends.

 

Announcements:

We are beginning a very busy time of the year.  Please watch the weekly church bulletin, emails and facebook for announcements and event information for Thanksgiving/Christmas 2016.

We’re looking forward to a GREAT day of worship on Sunday.

This week’s adult Sunday School lesson is entitled: “Unstoppable Opportunites,” based on Scripture Passages from Acts Chapter 3.  Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m.

Our Worship service begins at 10:30 a.m. with a great time of Praise and Worship through music.  We are very proud of our music department and our choir, and you will love the new music they are sharing with us.

Prayer Requests:

Please keep in prayer all those on our Prayer List, in addition to our church family and friends.  Also, continue to pray for our nation and for Election Day 2016.

Announcements:

Reminder:  The men are having their Breakfast and Bible Study tomorrow morning – and they are inviting the women to join them this month.  Breakfast will be served at 7:15 a.m. – Bible Study will begin at 7:30 a.m.  EVERYONE is invited to attend.

We are entering into a very busy time of the year.  Please watch the weekly church bulletin, emails and facebook for announcements and event information for Thanksgiving/Christmas 2016.

This week’s adult Sunday School lesson is entitled: “Unstoppable Message,” based on Scripture Passages from Acts Chapter 2.  Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m.

Pastor Steven Swords will be delivering our message on Sunday morning entitled: “Remember – Part 2.”  Our Worship service begins at 10:30 a.m.

Prayer Requests:

Please keep in prayer all those on our Prayer List, in addition to our church family and friends.

Announcements:

Our Fall Festival is scheduled for Sunday night, October 30 and will be at the Marshall Baptist Retreat Center in Claysville.   We will have a Soup/Chili contest, a Costume contest for Adults and Children, a Cake Walk, Games, Hayride and a Hotdog Supper.  Invite your family and friends for lots of fun and a great fellowship.  See Kim to sign up for the Soup/Chili contest, the Cake Walk items and food items. If you are interested in helping with the games, as a judge for the Costume or Chili/Soup contests or to help in the kitchen, see Lenora or Kim.

We will also need donations of wrapped candy for both the Fall Festival and for passing out at the Church on Halloween night.

This week’s adult Sunday School lesson is entitled: “Unstoppable Mission,” based on Scripture Passages from Acts Chapter 1.  Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m.

Pastor Steven Swords will be delivering our message on Sunday morning entitled: “Remember.”  Our Worship service begins at 10:30 a.m.

Prayer Requests:

Please keep in prayer all those on our Prayer List, in addition to our church family and friends.  Keep Shirley Bryan in your prayers.  She is in Marshall Medical Center – North.  We will keep you updated on her condition.

Announcements:

We have a new Sunday School class – College and Career Class.  The class meets in their new space which is the former church library located off the church foyer. The new class is being led by our Associate Pastor, Andrew Brock.  If you know anyone interested in attending this new class, invite them to church tomorrow.  Lenora Swords will be leading the College and Career Class on Wednesday evenings.

We are very excited about the renovation of our Church Library.  It has been relocated to the room directly across from it’s former location off the Church Foyer.  If you haven’t visited our Library or haven’t checked it out in a while, you are encouraged to do so.  We have thousands of fiction and non-fiction books from Christian authors, reference books, CDs, DVDs and VHS videos, kid’s books that are available for you to check out free of charge.  We hope you have a chance to check out a book or video soon.

Sunday night we will singing and will welcome Heirline with Ernie Dawson.  If you have never heard Bro. Ernie’s music or his testimony, you will definitely receive a blessing from attending the singing.  Invite family and friends to join us at 5:30 p.m.

This week’s adult Sunday School lesson is entitled: “One Great Task,” based on the scripture passage 2 Timothy 2:1-10.  Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m.

Our new Sunday School class – College and Career Class – begins tomorrow.  Their class  will meet in their new space which is the former church library located off the church foyer. The new class is being led by our Associate Pastor, Andrew Brock.  If you know anyone interested in attending this new class, invite them to church tomorrow.  Lenora Swords will be leading he College and Career Class on Wednesday evenings.

Pastor Andrew will be delivering the message on Sunday entitled: “God Always Heals His Children.”  Our Worship service begins at 10:30 a.m.

Please keep in prayer all those on our Prayer List, in addition to our church family and friends.

Reminder:  Men – don’t forget the Men’s Breakfast and Bible Study tomorrow morning.  Breakfast is served at 7:15 a.m. and Bible Study begins at 7:30 a.m.  Invite and bring a guest for a great time of brotherly fellowship.

We’ve had a busy week but we’re looking forward to a great day of worship on Sunday.

This week’s adult Sunday School lesson is entitled; “One Great Commitment,” based on scripture passages from Romans Chapter 8.  Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m.

We are happy to announce that we will be starting a Sunday School class this Sunday – a College and Career class.  Our Associate Pastor, Andrew Brock will be heading our College and Career class on Sunday mornings, beginning at 9:30 a.m.  Lenora Swords will be teaching a similar Bible Study at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday evenings.

Pastor Steven will be delivering our message on Sunday morning.  He will be preaching “Temptation of Eve – Part 2”.  Our Worship Service begins at 10:30 a.m.

Please keep Ricky Gilbreath in your prayers.  He is home from Huntsville Hospital after his heart attack and stent procedure last weekend.  Please keep the others on our Prayer List, our church members and family in your prayers.

This week’s adult Sunday School lesson is entitled: “One Great Savior,” based on the scripture passage of Romans 5:6-11.  Sunday School classes begin at 9:30 a.m.

This Sunday, Pastor Steven will be preaching a sermon entitled: “The Temptation of Eve.”  Our Worship Service begins at 10:30 a.m.

Please keep the Goble/Whisenant/Finley families in your prayers.  Please pray for our church members and families and those specifically listed on the prayer list.

Funeral Announcement

Mrs. Jo Finley, Kenny Whisenant’s and Will and Toney Goble’s mother, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday.  The visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. at Carr Funeral Home on Friday, September 23.    The funeral will be Saturday, September 24 at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. The family will meet friends and family from 12:00 noon until the time of the funeral.

Please keep the family in your prayers.

We’ve had a good week and we’re looking forward to a GREAT day of worship on Sunday.

This week’s adult Sunday school lesson is entitled: “One Great Problem,” based on the scripture verses Romans 3:9-12, 19-20, 23.  We have classes for all ages – from Babies/Nursery through Adults.  Our Sunday school begins at 9:30 a.m.

Pastor Steven is excited to have Bro. Terry Kisor here at Victory Baptist Church for our 10:30 a.m. Sunday Worship.  Those of you who have gone on the World Changer’s mission trips met Bro. Terry in West Memphis, Arkansas.  Invite a guest to hear Bro. Terry preach and share his experiences at World Changers.
