We’re looking forward to a GREAT day of worship on Sunday.
This week’s adult Sunday School lesson is entitled: “Unstoppable Mission,” based on Scripture Passages from Acts Chapter 1. Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m.
Pastor Steven Swords will be delivering our message on Sunday morning entitled: “Remember.” Our Worship service begins at 10:30 a.m.
Please keep in prayer all those on our Prayer List, in addition to our church family and friends. Keep Shirley Bryan in your prayers. She is in Marshall Medical Center – North. We will keep you updated on her condition.
We have a new Sunday School class – College and Career Class. The class meets in their new space which is the former church library located off the church foyer. The new class is being led by our Associate Pastor, Andrew Brock. If you know anyone interested in attending this new class, invite them to church tomorrow. Lenora Swords will be leading the College and Career Class on Wednesday evenings.
We are very excited about the renovation of our Church Library. It has been relocated to the room directly across from it’s former location off the Church Foyer. If you haven’t visited our Library or haven’t checked it out in a while, you are encouraged to do so. We have thousands of fiction and non-fiction books from Christian authors, reference books, CDs, DVDs and VHS videos, kid’s books that are available for you to check out free of charge. We hope you have a chance to check out a book or video soon.
Sunday night we will singing and will welcome Heirline with Ernie Dawson. If you have never heard Bro. Ernie’s music or his testimony, you will definitely receive a blessing from attending the singing. Invite family and friends to join us at 5:30 p.m.
Our Fall Festival is scheduled for Sunday night, October 30 and will be at the Marshall Baptist Retreat Center in Claysville.
We will have a Soup/Chili contest, a Costume contest for Adults and Children, a Cake Walk, Games, Hayride and a Hotdog Supper. Invite your family and friends for lots of fun and a great fellowship.
See Kim to sign up for the Soup/Chili contest, the Cake Walk items and food items. We will be discussing soon the sign-ups for workers in the kitchen and for the kids’ games.
We will also need donations of wrapped candy for both the Fall Festival and for passing out at the Church on Halloween night.
Have a safe weekend. See you Sunday morning.
