Ministry

"A New Beginning"
"Where everybody is somebody and Jesus Christ is Lord of all."

What is our purpose as a church?
Victory Baptist strives to be a very warm and loving body of believers whose goal is to worship and serve God through Jesus Christ.

Our vision is to celebrate life in Jesus Christ through worship, praise, and fellowship and to equip the saints so that in His name we offer the assurance of salvation to our community, our nation, and our world.

Our mission is to be a church where everyone feels welcome.

Our desire is to be a church that is really making a difference ~ in the lives of people who have become part of our family ~ in our community where we work to improve the quality of life and care ~ and in our world, through worship, missions and service. Our program and ministries all flow from our Vision Statement and aim to demonstrate to those outside of our church that VBC is a place of relevance, care and supernatural power!

What does Victory Baptist Church offer you?
• A climate of openness, welcome and warmth.

• A Sunday school program that provides a place of friendship, spiritual growth, and personal care.

• Worship services that are inviting, challenging, and full of life.

It is our desire that our buildings and resources be used to bring glory to God, encouragement to His people and to minister to the community.

What Must I Do to Be Saved?

God has made salvation possible for every individual. Christ died and shed His blood to offer forgiveness for your sins and by his resurrection we have the assurance of life beyond death.

God Reaches to Us
"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life."
John 3:16

It is not God's desire that any die in sin and perish in hell. A loving God affords all an opportunity to have life and have it more abundantly.

All Have Sinned
"For all have sinned, and come short of the Glory of God." Romans 3:23
Man must see himself as the sinner God sees he is. Adam's sin is the origin of the sin of the world, since all are born in sin.

Penalty for Sin
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Romans 6:23

Sin is a terrible malady, but to die in sin is even worse. The free gift of salvation to all of us was paid in full by Jesus Christ. Don't put off salvation too long.
"But God commanded his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
Romans 5:8

Salvation is a Gift
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is a gift of God; Not of works, lest any man should boast."
Ephesians 2:8,9

All of man's goodness without God is as filthy rags in His sight. You cannot work for a gift. But one must be in the right position to receive the gift.

Repent or Perish
"Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish."
Luke 13:3,5

We have all offended God because of our sins. To receive forgiveness we must repent to Him. His grace will instantly fill us with faith in Christ. Paul's great message for salvation to both Jews and Greek was - repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 20:21).

A New Creature
"Therefore if any man be. in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."
2 Corinthians 5:17

In repentance we turn from Satan and sin. Through faith we look to Christ. It is a that moment that we are born into the family of God.

The Spirit Is Our Witness
"He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself"
1 John 5:10

The Spirit of God is vital to salvation. The Spirit convicts, draws regenerates, and witnesses to each one coming from sin to righteousness in Christ.
"The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God."
Romans 8:16

Plan of Salvation

Now is the Day of Salvation
"behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation"
2 Corinthians 6:2

God's Promises Are True
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
Romans 10:13

God is no respecter of persons and will be true to His promises for one and all

First Command to the Saved
"be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost"
Acts 2:38
