We are in the middle of one of the busiest times of the year at Victory Baptist Church – Vacation Bible School. We have people making final preparations to their lessons, menus, decorations, music, games, etc. getting ready for the children that will come here at the end of the week. I want to thank everyone that has put in so much time and hard work in during the past several weeks in preparation for VBS.
Mixed up in the fun things we are planning for the children, we are to be prepared to tell the children about Christ. Many times this is one of the few times during the year that some of the children will be exposed to Christ and Bible studies. For some this is the only time during the year they hear about Christ during the year. We will need all the helpers we can get. You don’t have to be a teacher or serve food or do crafts with them, just come those evenings to help where needed and to give encouragement to the workers and to the children. This isn’t about how talented you are, it’s telling children about Christ and leading them to salvation and teaching them how to obey and have faith in Christ every day.
During June and July, Victory Baptist has two missions projects – Amanda’s Africa trip and the Teenagers’ Mission Trip. We ask that you be in prayer for them as they prepare for their trip.
