| I am pastor
Steven Swords. My wife Lenora
and I were both raised here in
Guntersville. After being gone
for 21 years and pastoring a
church in Carthage, TN for 15
years, in July of 2005, the Lord
laid it upon my heart that my
wife and I should move back to
Alabama and start Victory
Baptist Church.
The Lord has
really blessed us and on April
2nd, 2006 we officially
organized as a church. You may
be thinking, why should I attend
Victory?
First of all
we want Jesus Christ to come
first and if we keep our focus
on him then everything else will
fall into place. If you are
looking for a place to worship
where you feel like you belong
and are a part, then we are the
church for you.
We have
programs for the young and old.
We have a wonderful Wednesday
night bible study and children's
program. We are continuing to
work on our choir and have been
blessed with so many beautiful
voices. We encourage everyone to
attend Sunday school and we have
a nursery for Sunday school and
Worship service. Everyone that
has come to join our church has
been so eager to help. The
feeling we have here is like a
big family and we would love for
you to come and join us to
worship the Lord!
